My Journey!

 I've been an comic book inker for over 30 years (My start date was Sep. 1991, so 33 years.) I've done some great works and some not so great. Sure sometimes I had a day job but those never lasted to long, only to get over a slump with freelance. The main point is I didn't have much in the sense of long runs. I had the 'Hook' era over on Aquaman and if I really think about it I think my Razor work came in 2nd. I had a full collection of all my work back in 2006 but when I moved from NYC to KY I gave all that away, SO, no master list of what I worked on. That's okay, that's fine. Its all a Hodge podge of covers, pinups and full comics. A ton of pieces of comics thrown in there. I was happy and content to just be working in comics. Always thrilled to be working over new artists. Etc. Etc.

NOW though I want to pencil. NOW has been on my mind for some time, the shift has been a slow one but I will get there. Sure I was egged on because of the changing tides within the comic industry, but the NEED or WANT has been inching at me anyways.

I will still continue to ink because my gods I do love it. For all the ups and downs and struggles I still love it, and I have much more work I must do with just my inking. Someone's got to show these new guys/ gals how it should be done.

But to be a penciler, heck to be a full artist since I plan to pencil, ink and color my own ongoing series! RETRO if you didn't hear me talk about that book already! Coming when it comes, but really looks like 2025 at this point! For sure this time.

I've got years ahead of me, decades since I still feel like I'm 28, which is when I started this journey!
